Online gambling is a booming industry with more and more Americans betting on sports and casinos from the comfort of their home. This includes legal Internet casinos, online sports betting, and even virtual poker. The good news is that more and more states are taking steps towards allowing their residents to engage in these activities.
There are no commercial casinos in Connecticut. However, it has a tribal casino. Additionally, the state is home to three online sportsbooks. These include Mohegan Sun Online Casino, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, and FanDuel, in partnership with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. Although most sporting events are available for wagering, eSports betting is not. In the near future, the state will allow for online poker.
Despite its relative infancy, Illinois has more online gambling options than most other states. In fact, it is one of the few states that allows for both in person and online sports betting.
